The Way of Cain

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 Jn 3:11-1

This passage of scripture says this it the message from the beginning and it is the message for this MESS-AGE. Cain and Abel represent the two lifestyles of man, the righteous and the wicked, those that love others and those that live for SELF, those who do things God’s way and those who do things their own way. Sad to say, most humans prefer the way of the wicked to live for Self and do things their own way. There is a God in Heaven and He is the God of the whole earth. The time will come when you will have to answer before God and in that day, you will come to God in God’s way or you will come to God your own way. There is a way that seems right unto man but the end thereof are the ways of death. Notice there is a way of ways of death.

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12

Cain came to God his own way. God was not pleased with his attitude. Cain came to God with his very best. God was not impressed by his grand presentation. Yet many believers try to do that today. All of us have attitudes that are not acceptable to God. Many do their very best for God in all their strength and think there will be a reward. For example, there are those that teach that because you give money you will receive a blessing.  There are some that teach you can give money and get healed.  There are even ministries you can call and for a certain donation, they will give you a prophecy.  That kind of attitude is no better than buying something or negotiating to get a better deal. Religion will teach man what he must do for God but the Bible teaches what God has done for man.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts. Proverbs 21:2

In Cain and Abel, God demonstrates the two types of man, the natural man and the spiritual man. The natural man comes first. He is the firstborn. He lives for himself. The spiritual man comes after. He is the second-born. He lives to please God. The way of Cain is disobedience and the way of Abel is obedience. God isn’t impressed with the natural man who lives to please himself in defiance of God, but God responds to the spiritual man who lays down his life to love others. The natural man tries to impress God with good works but the spiritual man lives to love others in obedience to God. These are the two classes of man and we are all in one class or the other. God loves everyone and wants everyone to live, but God’s goodness and blessing in your life, has nothing to do with your good works. All through the Bible God warns us of the way of Cain.

The way of man is froward and strange: but as for the pure, his work is right. Proverbs 21:8 (KJV)

This world system operates by money but in Heaven there is no money. In Cain’s day there was no money.  All he could give was the works of his hands.  His attitude was I can do it my way and earn God’s respect.  As a farmer, Cain was good at what he did producing fruits and flowers.  Those things were his type of income.  I would imagine his presentation was fabulous. The Bible says Cain gave God an offering with a wrong attitude.  Cain felt the works of his hands and the fruit of his labors was enough to earn God’s respect, but God corrected him. God teaches us all the way through the Old Testament “something has to die so we can live.” This was God’s way of showing us His heavenly provision in advance through His only son.

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. Jude 1:11

Many of us today follow the way of Cain.  We think we that we can do good, work hard, and give to ministries, or the poor, and God will bless us.  I have even heard sayings such as “live to give and give to live” or “give to get and give more to get more.”  I have even heard people say, “I have given God this much and God owes me back this certain amount.”  However, that is not what the Bible teaches.  That is error.  It is human nature to think “if I do good I will be rewarded.” Money has nothing to do with God accepting us.  God accepts those who have put their trust in the work of Christ and and have faith in the lordship of Christ.  Everything Christ did was for us. The Bible challenges us to believe in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and his punishment for our sins as God’s way of saving us and blessing us.  We must come to God on His terms.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1John 4:18

Abel came to God by faith. Abel demonstrated his faith by presenting to God the blood of an innocent sacrificial lamb. In this way Abel expressed his faith in the promise of God to his parents, Adam and Eve, that he would provide a savior from the Serpent’s power of death. God’s picture in Genesis shows us how to come to Him through Christ, the Lamb of God. He was the spotless lamb sacrificed for us. Jesus was punished for our sins and died in our place so we come so we could come back to God and truly live.  When we come to God with all our hearts, believing in Jesus as our innocent sacrificial lamb, who died on the Cross for us, God is pleased. God did all this so we could experience eternal life and fellowship with God.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38

All our giving should be out of an attitude of gratitude for what God has already done for us through his “heavenly provision” of the innocent sacrificial lamb, which takes aways the sins of the world.  The Bible says we are blessed of God when we are givers rather than takers. Abel believed in the goodness of God. In Abel’s day, they looked forward to the Cross having faith in what God was going to do.  In our day, we look back to the Cross having faith in what God has already done.  All our fruits and flowers (good works) do not justify (make us right) us before a Holy God. Our believing in what Jesus has done makes us right with God. Abel presented to God his offering of an innocent sacrificial lamb, and this satisfied God. Even so the perfect man Jesus Christ has presented himself to God as a our innocent sacrificial lamb of God, the just for the unjust, and He has made us right with God “if we truly believe.” The Bible is clear. If we believe in Jesus Christ, we shall be saved.

The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead. Proverbs 21:16

The Bible says God loves a cheerful giver and He hangs out with those who live by faith in Him. The world may hate you but you will love them and bless them. The world may despise and reject you, but God will walk with you and bless you because you trust in Him and you share in the divine nature of Christ.

Do You Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and that His death as your substitute makes you right with God? Is Jesus your Lamb, your savior, your Lord and your King? Jesus is the King of Heaven. Is Jesus the King of your heart? Whosoever believers in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Beware “The Pharaoh”

One of most wicked things that humans can do is take control of other people’s lives, and make them your slaves.  It is the “Pharaoh Mentality”.  In the Bible, Pharaoh took control of God’s people so that they could no longer serve their God for over 400 years.  Pharaoh is the devil with a face-mask on.  Pharaoh brings forced labor on you against your own will and soon to bring you into slavery to its own system.

There is a Pharaoh system being implemented in America right now.  It wants to take control of all the decisions regarding your health.  So as not to get entangled in that situation, it is also being implemented so that they can control your money directly through taking insurance premiums straight from your checking account, which will also entitle them to have their hand in your money so that the government can operate much more efficiently through your pocketbooks.  This direct access is their way of getting your co-pays FAST for surgeries that they approve and your taxes due especially if you die—I wouldn’t be surprised if your 40% death tax was automatically taken out of your checking account before your body is in the grave.  Believe me, this new so-called benefit is only for THEIR benefit.  That is how the “pharaoh-system” works.

I have personal experience with the “Pharaoh system”.  Some people I know will actually try to take full control of your life by dumping their responsibilities on you.

And soon, without your permission, you have been taken captive by a “Pharaoh” that does not have your best interests at heart.  They want you to be brought into bondage to what they have decided for your LIFE.

In God’s economy, that is what we call “lording it over you”.

I was born in America, and I definitely have a sense of freedom and know when my freedoms are being violated.  Pharaoh’s basic mentality is to destroy your freedoms and serve me.  They are very selfish, self-centered, and are not afraid to violate anybody they come in contact with.  And their true statement of heart is “I do not know this “God” you speak of”.  And then they make your life more miserable when you try to make your escape to serve the true God with your life, because they will lose your service.

Read Exodus Chapters 1 – 13.

To bring something into the light, you must be willing to take a look at your own life and determine who the “Pharaohs” are that you are currently allowing to run “your Life” which God gave you and you will answer to God, Himself, for what you did with it.  God has put a gift within each “born again” person to be a blessing in this world.  The “Pharaohs” do not want you free to do your god-given call (job).

Being nice to a Pharaoh is never the answer to get your freedom.  Pharaoh’s are not interested in your freedom, only in your service to their kingdom, or household.

This is still AMERICA, so take a stand and demand your freedom from all the Pharaoh’s trying to run your entire Life.

What Are Your Standards?

Proverbs 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Another word for standards is the word “ways.” I use the word “standards” because it is a word which implies a goal, a challenge, a rule with a reward.

The standards of people in today’s world are pretty low. You see a lack of standards in the workplace, in politics, in churches, in relationships, in marriages. People decieve themselves and others without even realizing it because they don’t walk in truth.

People pretty much do what feels good. The attitude of the world is Eat, Drink and Be Merry for Tomorrow We Die.” To put it simply; human nature is to LIVE FOR SELF. People lack respect, common sense, good manners. The Bible calls human ways “the ways of death.”

The whole world walks in the ways of death and without connecting with God there is no way to experience a change in human nature. The only place one can find established standards for human behavior is in the Bible. With God’s help we can walk in his ways of LOVE. Jesus was our example.

What does it mean for the human to walk in the ways of death? It means that the human is separated from God and the way he does things is based upon his separation from God. Man is spiritually dead and that is why we experience physical death. Let me put it another way. Man is separated from God. That is why he is spiritually dead. If we are in SPIRITUAL DEATH (separated from God) when we experience PHYSICAL DEATH(are separated from our physcial bodies), we shall remain separated from God forever (ETERNAL DEATH). Do you understand? Our deeds are based upon our level of separation from God.

When we receive Jesus Christ in our hearts, we come back to God. We come to “know God, love God, please God, and walk with God.” That is where our ways begin to change. We begin to depart from evil and from the ways of death. What seems right in this world no longer seems right because we can now sense God is with us in everything we do.

Ladies; you are not supposed to be sex symbols who present themselves to be worshipped and used of men. You are supposed to radiate the Glory of God. With God you are no longer alone. You are no longer unloved. You are alive unto God and you are a witness of the goodness of God. Let God teach you the ways of life; his ways will become standards in your life which will help you understand truth, guide you in the wisdom of the Spirit and bring you great reward.

If you haven’t ever come to know the love of God why not start today. Pray and ask Christ into your heart. If you’ve done that, please email me and let me know.

God’s Best Be Yours,
